My book is sold everywhere by Lambert Academic Publishing and by distrubuted also by Springer-Verlag, and an internetional edition is on sale. LAP reported that only one copy is sold. But my book is in good placement according to bestselling lists in its classes. I wrote several times to pay my royalties, nothing was changed. Book's Name:Extra Gauge Bosons in E6 Models, ISBN:978-3-8443-8014-9

Again, there is no royalty for me as an author for the period 2013-2014. However, if you search on the web you can see that the used ones of my book are on sale. If no one of my book is sold by Lambert Academic Publishing, how can many used of my book are on sale?

When I logged in LAP page as an author, I read the following letter, and it wasn't a surprise to me because this is the 3rd time the name of publishing is changed:

News

2013-09-01 AV Akademikerverlag GmbH & Co. KG will be renamed to OmniScriptum GmbH & Co. KG

Dear valued author,

we would like to share some exciting news with you.

The AV Akademikerverlag GmbH & Co. KG will change its name into OmniScriptum GmbH & Co. KG.

This move reflects our ongoing endeavor to open ourselves internationally and beyond the academic borders.

Of course, the change of name applies only to the company and LAP LAMBERT Academic Publishing will continue to exist as a brand/imprint of OmniScriptum GmbH & Co. KG.

Legally there are no changes to the existing contracts, all rights and obligations of your contract remain unchanged and valid for both sides, and you will continue to receive the same outstanding services you have always enjoyed, and with the same people you know and trust.

Dear Hasan Arslan,

We are concerned about the comments regarding your royalty status and sales. And We would like to clarify this situation.

LAP takes pride in publishing academic books in a wide variety of topics. Specialist books are usually no best-sellers, but our business concept allows us to publish scientific works in a variety of niche topics, that is why we contacted you as well.

For many academic publishers, the authors of research monographs are required to make direct or indirect payments to the publisher, before the publishing process begins. Printing costs allowances, for example, or clauses that oblige the author to purchase a certain amount of their own book(s) from the publisher are not uncommon. We have chosen to do things differently, and do not “pass the buck” on the authors (directly nor indirectly) for the costs of printing their work(s). Thanks to a streamlined work-flow combined with other efficient practices, we are in unique position to grant our authors with an outstanding royalty fee, which is unrivalled in the research industry. However, it is wise not to think that the publication of your monograph will make you reach. Having your own book is priceless.

Thank you for understanding.

Regards, LAP team.

Dear Sir/Lady,

What do you mean by saying " However, it is wise not to think that the publication of your monograph will make you reach."?

After my complaint, I got an e-mail from Lambert Academic Publishing as:

Dear author,

We hereby wish to inform you about a formal change in your publishing company:

within the framework of our corporate group’s consolidation, the previously independent publishing companies LAP Lambert Academic Publishing GmbH & Co. KG and the Südwestdeutscher Verlag für Hochschulschriften GmbH & Co. KG merged with the AV Academikerverlag GmbH & Co. KG recently. Consequently all the imprints of the two companies including all rights and obligations are transferred in their entirety to the AV Academikerverlag GmbH & Co. KG.

As for you, nothing changes in regard to the form and content, as author contracts are passed over 1:1 to the AV Academikerverlag GmbH & Co. KG.

Kind regards
